The club was formed around 1992 to further the interests of jazz & blues music in Auckland.

The club has a membership of around 250 and has regular club nights every Tuesday evening at the Birkenhead RSA.

Concerts start at 7.30pm and finish at 9.30pm with a break at half time. Meals are available before the concert. Full bar service.

Ample off-street parking. Come early to secure your seating.

Each night features a different local or out of town band.. Sometimes an International star makes an appearance.

A special ‘returning home’ concert: kiwi pianist Alex Ventling is back again from Europe, this time with renowned British drummer, Phelan Burgoyne. The two team up with their favourite locals, Michael Howell and Mostyn Cole, forming their a dream quartet.
European elegance meets kiwi authenticity – the four have selected their favourite standards and originals, where deep listening and an open approach to form and improvising can unfold on stage.

Alex Ventling has been living in Europe for the last 10 years where he met Phelan Burgoyne, the two having collaborated in a range of musical projects. Michael Howell and Mostyn Cole are household names in the Auckland jazz scene, having played with Alex for many of his visits home. A treat for the ears.
