Juliana Sian is a Brazilian pianist with a deep passion for bringing the vibrant sounds of Brazilian music to audiences in New Zealand. She has a special love for Bossa Nova and Samba, which she shares through her own expressive compositions and unique interpretations of classics by Tom Jobim, Edu Lobo, Hermeto Pascoal, and more.
With over 20 years of experience, Juliana has played Jazz, Latin, and Brazilian music in a variety of settings, always bringing warmth and authenticity to her performances. Beyond the stage, she’s a dedicated music educator who enjoys inspiring students of all ages. She further refined her craft at the University of Auckland, where she specialised in Jazz Performance.
