The club was formed around 1992 to further the interests of jazz & blues music in Auckland.

The club has a membership of around 250 and has regular club nights every Tuesday evening at the Birkenhead RSA.

Concerts start at 7.30pm and finish at 9.30pm with a break at half time. Meals are available before the concert. Full bar service.

Ample off-street parking. Come early to secure your seating.

Each night features a different local or out of town band.. Sometimes an International star makes an appearance.

"2021 is the Nairobi Trio's 32nd year together and with 10 albums and years of international touring experience under their belts, expect an entertaining and engaging show. The musical program includes a selecton of jazz standards re-worked by the group, however Nairobi Trio are perhaps best known for their skilfully crafted original pieces.

Nairobi Trio are Richard Adams (Violin/ vocals), John Quigley (Guitar/ vocals) and Peter Koopman (Bass/ vocals). They take you on a musical journey in a show packed with some real gems. Don't miss the opportunity to see New Zealand's favourite Jazz entertainers - you'll be glad you did!"
