The club was formed around 1992 to further the interests of jazz & blues music in Auckland.

The club has a membership of around 250 and has regular club nights every Tuesday evening at the Birkenhead RSA.

Concerts start at 7.30pm and finish at 9.30pm with a break at half time. Meals are available before the concert. Full bar service.

Ample off-street parking. Come early to secure your seating.

Each night features a different local or out of town band.. Sometimes an International star makes an appearance.

Clo Chaperon

Clo Chaperon is an Australian born jazz singer who has been part of the Auckland music scene for the last 10 years. She has been making a name for herself entertaining crowds at numerous hot spot venues around Auckland and high-end corporate events with her band Quantum Blue and performing at festivals around New Zealand including the Tauranga, Waiheke and Wellington jazz festivals. She is a graduate of the Auckland University School of Music where she majored in Jazz Voice and trained under Susan de Jong. Her musical influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, João Gilberto, Anita O’Day, Esperanza Spalding and Gretchen Parlato just to name a few. Clo will be performing with some of Auckland’s finest musicians and together they’ll take you on a journey through a stunning selection of jazz standards, Brazilian and French songs, jazzed-up arrangements of pop classics and also her original compositions.
