The club was formed around 1992 to further the interests of jazz & blues music in Auckland.

The club has a membership of around 250 and has regular club nights every Tuesday evening at the Birkenhead RSA.

Concerts start at 7.30pm and finish at 9.30pm with a break at half time. Meals are available before the concert. Full bar service.

Ample off-street parking. Come early to secure your seating.

Each night features a different local or out of town band.. Sometimes an International star makes an appearance.

Dan Bolton (USA)

Dan Bolton is a singer/songwriter/pianist with a unique sound that has taken him all over the world. His songs have been described as 21st Century standards, incorporating elements of jazz, pop and Latin American styles. His musical influences and innovation can also be heard in his unique arrangements of songs from the Great American Songbook.

 

In 2012 Dan relocated to New York City where he has carved out a niche for himself with his own actand as a musical director for Broadway and cabaret star, Nathan Lee Graham and Laura Hart, singer with the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

 

In 2013 and 2014 he released his original albums, The New York Sessions Volumes 1 and 2. His latest album, The New Sessions Volume 3 has just been released.

 

Dan is touring Australia and New Zealand with his quartet, including New York City based Kiwi drummer, Mark Lockett. His show at The Auckland Jazz And Blues Club will feature his original songs and jazz standards.
